Whenever I think of "addiction" I think of the term "hungry ghost." The first Marion Woodman quote deeply resonated, this line in particular: "We have all this wonderful life but cannot believe we can lose it — that is too horrible a thought." In attempting to view most of my daily behavior through the lens of dopamine deficiency, I've begun to notice how many things I use to "satiate" tiny hits throughout the day. Some of them are so subtle that it took me a bit to realize what I was doing. Currently, horrified by much of my social media behavior at the moment and trying to replace the habits I don't like with things such as "writing at least a sentence for my book" or "reading and responding to one of your articles"
